You can also call Baltimore about the cats.I would love to take the cats to my farm - but we travel and it would not be fair to them.Tell you friend to be careful because it sounds like the former owner has some problems.

If you're renovating a place 1200 miles away, and you want to do the renovations yourself, you'll have to factor in the cost of travel/lodging, car rental, etc.. and then on top of that, you'll have to worry about 2 states taxes laws with landlords..

Rolling the money from this sale, in theory, would have paid for almost all of the rehab on the new house.My wife and I both travel for work up to 18 days a month, so this was a learning experience on working a large project from the road.
