I've reached out to a couple of the big players in the field - looking to cast my net wide and would be happy to have referrals to lenders and brokers others have had good working relationships with...

@Andrew David EvansWelcome to BP.Another idea in getting started or actually jumping in to the REI world is speaking with some of your local title companies and asking them who the big players are in your location or if they can point you in the right direction.

If they are not a player in your market they won't affect you.

It was enlightening to see some of the stats for both large servicing players and local companies trying to grow. 

It is slightly more difficult to have an offer accepted since you may be competing with conventional financing and multiple offers.

I like the grind so far of getting to know different people and players in real estate.

Can anyone recommend a competent CPA that is experienced in real estate and in the Seattle (or surrounding) areas?

Get them to give you a financial commitment (don't take the cash now - only when you have a great deal)Make it a habit to attend these foreclosure auctions - even if you are not prepared to buy - you will get to know the players - who is there - what do they look for, how do they bid.

Plus our market seems very competative right now.
