@Jared M Pilarski I really encourage you to go to the meetup: if you make a goal of introducing yourself to ten people there, you have a good chance of making a connection with someone who can help you along.One other tip, and this is something I have been working on as well, is GET ACTIVE in the forums!

I would like to get opinions from other BP types on side income & networking opportunity that I've stumbled into.I'm an active REI investor in Southern CA with a day job in the electrical industry; I've been actively employed for over 25 yrs, and I plan to replace my W2 income with rental income over the next five years.

I was actively shopping for a 'fixer upper' multi family in one of our local emerging neighborhoods, when out of nowhere, a Dave Ramsey fanatic walks into my life.

Looks like its a few years old, but was curious if any Northern VA people are still here and active.

However, the home inspector found mold in the attic and it doesn't appear to be "active" mold as it looks like it was resolved a few years prior when they repaired the roof.

It's great to hear that BiggerPockets has been helpful and given you the tools to take a more active role in your rental properties.

Calling out one of the top agents in the country and insinuating they are engaging in illegal activities probably isnt going to help your business either.

We are also exploring cheap 2/1s with added master suites and other similar options. 

I would love to meet people in my area but notice that there is not much activity in the Salt Lake City area.
