Those who are suffer from the same problem as the first bullet-Any sort of residual effort invested in "old" clients offers little value to the person who is the guru unless you can deliver ongoing value. 

In my case I found STR model (both ways) to consume too much time and effort to continue with them so discontinued it.

IMHO that's a pretty good income for the effort required.For truly passive income if you have cash I think there are better avenues than rentals.
