I find that the cheapest things to do that make the house go that extra mile are:Curb appeal of coursePainted cabinets and maybe new knobsPainted doors and new handlesnew carpet/hardwood or just very cleannew electrical switch platespaint or replace trimtile in foyer or just nice flooringnew shower curtains or clean sliding doorsadd window shutters painted an offset color of the housenice mailboxto expand on curb appeal:clean gutterspressure wash or clean sidingLandscaping is almost a must to sell really fastexterior lightsThese are just a few and are very basic items that can add to that WOW factor.

Anyway I posted my question on doityourself dot com.Long story short, within an hour I had several resonses including one that reprinted a magazine article with easy hints on how to tap into lines and all the recommended specs.Too bad I'm in rehearsal for a play or I'd volunteer to come up and do your plumbing if you'd come down and do some painting for me!

I used to get mine at lowes, I only did stainless and the guys in the dept called me every time a scratch and dent was put out and id buy it 25% off and store it.Now, I could buy the cheapest one around in avacado with dents, fix the dents, paint it with my industrial stainless flake paint, and its pretty damn close looking.
