@Isaac Lane Try to find a good contractor that can walk the properties for you to give you an estimate of what the cost will be to rehab/renovate everything.

A bit long on the payback but add in any value increase to the property from doing it, including its increased attractiveness to condo conversion down the line, immediately better cap rate, etc...and it could be worth it.

While in New York, I purchased a home (Airbnb) in the Saratoga Springs area, and my first multi-family property which was in Lubbock(2 Airbnbs).

I can't imagine doing this remote.At the moment we rehab and upgrade our older rental properties.

Sounds like you're in good financial shape to look for a property.

When investing in New Construction, you are controlling the property for the first, BEST years of a buildings life.
