I’d also recommend joining a few REIA’s and Facebook groups - these are places just like BP where you can throw out any question and get a genuine response from someone.

I discovered that the duplex was located in a pretty sketchy neighborhood and I had no confidence that the property could deliver on the proposed rental income the seller said it was bringing in.
