I've learned a lot, and following their advice received 10% to 12% returns on prudent investments.I pay attention and verify.

So unless you are going well over what they already have or get their attention some other way (i.e. they know you will buy a lot of properties, be easy to deal with etc.) it doesn't make sense to deal with you in some cases.

Remember, in all of these markets, the top apartment brokers (you find them on Loopnet) are all saturated with buyers, so getting them to pay attention to you (esp. if you are from out of state) is difficult.
