Although I am gainfully employed, I am a travel-contracted nurse. 

I would think that isn't appealing but on the other hand I do see successful listings that are right next to other homes.We're traveling up in a few weeks - does anyone have any recommendations for agents and general contractors in the area?

Do I need to travel there to ultimately get the deal done if I find a buyer?  

I live North of Atlanta but do travel to meetings all over.

Anyway, some governments and merchants have started working together to revitalize cities and neighborhoods (appreciation), walking distance is becoming more popular (appreciation in small pockets), internet allows for more distance (unfettered) based jobs, unfettered jobs allows for more travel (airBNB and rental markets in higher demand), high unforgivable student debt suggests renting longer than previous generations. 

I'm a full time employee who travels a lot and has a crazy schedule.
