House hacking in Pittsburgh

Hello Bigger People!

Am a newbie looking for a house hacking opportunity, preferably a duplex that needs some work on a FHA loan.

What are my options for around $100k within 20 minutes from Oakland?

When where should I look for good deals outside of Zillow/Craigslist/realtor.com?

Is there a food time of the year for deals?

@Gary Swank Thanks for the encouragement. I would surely like to connect.  I have capacity to borrow up to 150-180k if the numbers make sense. Looking at MLS, I don't see that many 2-4 multi's anywhere.

I plan to start looking in earnest this spring and hopefully have something that makes sense by the end of the year. What is a good way to get in touch?

@Jeremy Taggart I have been looking at Swissvale for a week or so, some decent SFHs not many multi's.
I get your point regarding multi's being hot. Would you consider SFH as a better buy today in those PGH neighborhoods compared to multi's? Sure, PGH market feels hot right now but I don't want that to be my excuse for not starting. I would like to follow up with you as start my process. How do I reach out?
