So to that end to buy these you had to be able to do this all your own without the benefit of a title company or lawyer.. so thats what we did we bought them without title insurance and did our own docs and recorded them.. this is where the deals are made.but alas its now illegal in our area to do this.. the laws were passed in 07 08 to protect these folks from all the scammers.I bought more than one courthouse step property only to show up and talk to owner and they showed me some paper work from either a foreclosure scammer company that charged them like 1000 or 1500 bucks and said their problem would go away.or a contract they had from a wholesaler that never closed.. and they lost the house altogether.. in our model it was high risk high reward.
