I'm looking at lower income multi-family complexes in Birmingham.

Any advise on how to become apart of these kinds of deals?

I’m buying a house that was use as 4 families but on the certificate of occupancy said that it’s only a 2 families, now the city of Newark wants me to eliminate the other 2 apartments which I understand that they are totally ilegal because one is located on the basement and another one is the attic.

I’d like to draw comparison to an investment apartment in one of capitals of east Europe.

Also, have had an apartment rented to a tenant, not the same one, for the last two years, is this income included in the DTI?
