I currently reside in Hoover / Birmingham, Alabama, but having served in the military at Fort Benning has made Columbus, Georgia a place that my Wife and I both have close ties.

I am currently hunting for deals that will cash flow $250+ with a Cash on Cash return of 11%+ in northern Tarrant County (Fort Worth, TX & surrounding areas).

If you anticipate continuing the Colorado assignment until 2020, you will need to make a 25% Down Payment as an Investor to purchase property.If you anticipate being assigned at Fort Hood, suggest you consider the Temple-Belton area, and possibly Waco - if you plan to be involved in the Management.

I just purchased two condos in Fort Lauderdale that are cash flowing well but it took me over a year to really find a good deal.

I think if you're not located in a military concentrated area near a base,post,fort, etc it might not be worth it.
