MRP Cert for real estate agents is it worth having ?

I am really looking into getting this since i want to be able to attract veteran buyers. so for anyone that has this was it worth having the cert and what kind of advantage does this give you vs an agent that does not have it ?  thanks for anybodys input?

Congrads on your transactions that is a large number to do in a year. I want to help veterans since as one myself i can connect with them on a more personal level. Since most veterans usually only have 10 days to find their next home getting in contact with them sooner will help the process go a lot smoother.

This question was geared towards veterans and not investors. As you know working with investors is a different type of client with different needs and concerns . Investors care more about the numbers and the person that they are dealing with can deliver as you have said.

As a retired Military Veteran, a REALTOR and an MRP (my only designation), in my opinion I don't think it will directly help you meet your goal of attracting veteran buyers.

What you learn could help you better serve them as clients and in return get more referrals from other vets. It also may help you network and get a referral from another MRP if they happen to remember you or look you up in the membership database.

If you use it in advertising directed to military members, it may also help, but I'm not sure how much more effective those ads would be than ones without it.

Generally I believe very few consumers know what any of those letters mean or what benefit it would give them.

Leigh C are you a realtor ? If you are look into the " i need to learn some manners class" could go a long way.

sorry for such a late response, i agree with what you are saying and also was another reason why i'm not going to be getting the cert since i'm not in a heavy military area like san diego or hawaii.

I had a feeling this was the case but just wanted to make sure before i spent money on it. Most of the people i have talked to didn't know what it was when i had asked them about it. I ve got a plan on how I am going to reach out to veterans so this would have just been an additional way to get some possible leads.

Yes i am a realtor, I'm also an asset manager that has sold multiple homes in Michigan along with 30 other states....i close 200+ transactions a year.     Most of these transactions are a hedge fund that buys whatever I put in front of them as long as I vouch for it.

They don't care about the letters on my name, they care about results.

If you believe it will help you become a more useful mammal than take the course.     Few care how many 3 letter things you put next to your name though.    I wish they had a course for "following instructions from a seller"   "How to answer the phone and return phone calls promptly"   "How to not be completely annoying".

As a realtor I'm sure i'd benefit from a few of those classes.
