You need to verify these issues, but if the property was left in bad shape it is quite possible there will be a turnover period where as things are getting settled in the issues will arise and it should plan out.

Unfortunately are price range right now is in the 400s which is kind of hard to come by right now in this area but we may settle for something that needs upgrades and it'll be a starter home.

If you aren't using the funds, you may be subject to a monthly or yearly inactivity fee during the draw period.Additionally, if you sell your primary home while you still have a HELOC in place, do lenders typically allow you to pay the HELOC at closing, or do they require that to be settled ahead of time (possibly impacting your ability to sell if you don't have the cash to pay off the HELOC amount)?
