In order to learn investment you'll need a company that gives you training, mentoring and leads to get to practice your new craft and agents/mentors that are investors themselves and their clients are mostly investors. 

Is it worth it to invest in a mentor or can you learn everything on your own?

@Blake HornbrookI’ve been a real estate investor for two years now and I can tell you that mentors who will charge hourly rates for coaching are not worth it in my opinion.
