No biggie we'll clean and clear it.While talking with the neighbors about possibly splitting fence repair she said that they have seen 3 tenants come and go all due to mold issues.

I'm going to discuss with my family this weekend but i may offer what is left on the loan (not sure exactly how much is left but he lived there for 20 years before passing away) and tell them i will take care of cleaning out the property and they don't have to worry about it.

Hi everyone,My dad, brother, and I bought a two family home and have every intention with moving into the 2nd floor within 60 days of closing.

So far this home has needed roof work, joist work, new HVAC unit, flooring, paint, counters, and more.

Thus, the units were super clean and was easy to manage.  

So I started looking and within 2 months bought my first Short Term rental that I manage myself over airbnb and have a team to work the cleanings and maintenance.

It looks like the units on the 1st floor have some mold that probably was not remediated since the harvey flood :(  - can this be remediated successfully - given the time that has elapsed?

Cleaning expenses are also typically higher on an STR but again that cost is typically past on to the guest.

The kitchen will be fully renovated and opening up to the dining area with updated flooring and lighting.

She denied it, but I explained that I could smell it through the walls and floors (same as you, we lived in the other unit).
