Freaking Burke is the most competitive guy on the planet, and he's got the goods to write that check.

I would say having a vacation rental on the North Shore or Windward side of Oahu could be a better option than Waikiki as there's less competition for guests due to the lower inventory.

Houston is a pretty competitive market but is still a great place to be.

The Tampa "markets" not "market" will not always comply with the 70% rule, due to competition from other investors and demand for properties. 

I imagine that even by next year I may be the only person with the concept in the city I choose, so direct competition will be minimal to start at least.
