However, once you assign the contract, you're not able to extend the option period as the assignor, and IF the assignee doesn't close, you're still obligated to close absent other termination points you may have in the contract.

Keep in mind you will only be able to claim the homestead on the unit you live in so if all units are = in size you will only be able to homestead 25%.
