I started out at Metro Brokers then went to Solid Source.Have had my own brokerage since 2007.Originally when I saw Michelle's success from 45 agents to thousands I thought I could do the same thing but doing a virtual brokerage to keep costs low and not have brick and mortar costs (leasing or owning a building) for agents to use.I spent about 5 months recruiting and was up to about 50 agents charging a 300 per transaction fee with no dues and FMLS only access.

We have the GRB for agents and appraisers, builders and contractors have their oragnization, banks and lenders have the local ABA, low income housing organizations have banded together and there is an area landlord association (only landlords).

@CJ M.Curious myself.From my experience of managing websites for agents, most of them really find it important that they make sure they show up on search engines and I'll see clients pushing out tons of content themselves, which is great!

On average, their seller-clients pay over 7% in commissions on each sale.Yes, you read that right...the sellers using the flat fee services average paying OVER 7% IN COMMISSIONS -- more than a seller who uses a typical full-service listing broker.This is because the flat-fee brokerage provides a la carte pricing for lots of services -- the $500 flat fee listing, up-charge for signs, up-charge for agent lockbox, up-charge for marketing services, up-charge for negotiation support, up-charge for closing support, etc.So, make sure the bargain you're getting is really a bargain...
