There are meetings and REIA's etc.. however the practice of teaching your competition your tricks of the trade is quite muted. 

the building has not been maintained well at all so the trim, walls, all that are ready to be replaced.I can't speak to the insulation part, but I recently framed over a masonry wall for aesthetics ... still used 2x4s, only oriented them so the wider part (3.5") ran parallel to the wall and the wall only came in 1.5"+ drywall thickness ... the trick for electrical is that they sell "narrow" outlet boxes designed for this applications rather than the standard depth ones designed for framing the traditional way.

The trick here would be finding a property with enough meat on the bone to allow you to do this

You need to develop your own tricks of the trade.The worst feeling is when you put in a offer and it is accepted without a counter.

I have a few tricks up my sleeve, though... and am pretty sure that the bank will be buying this at the auction, and not a 3rd party.

Anything other tricks would be greatly appreciated. 

I believe that trick is to find homes in good school systems, considerable size, and adequate amenities.

., and try to learn what seems to work and what doesn't.The trick in internet marketing is striking the balance between just enough info to entice the reader to dig in on your article vs. too much info on the page so they don't need to stick there very long and leave you quickly.
