Basic RE law, deeds, transactions, tile examinations, encroachments, encumbrances, liens, assignments, RE financing, surveys, legal descriptions, conveyances.....but the really important stuff is in the beginning, what RE is, why it is valuable, what improves a property, why it is marketable, valuations and the different interests held in title that are basis for all investor strategies.

It was my cheapest/smallest and lowest rent (1400sf for $2,000/mo, bought for $100k and sold for $370k after 22 years)My buying strategy when I got in to this business was homes with stucco siding, slanted tile roofs, less than 10 years old, preferably less than 5.

When the pipe burst and flooded the basement of my personal home, I had to deal with contacting the insurance agent, the water mitigation team, the plumber, and when it was found out that I had ASBESTOS underneath the tile floors(do your research on that!!!!)

Just FYI that I recently found out, the black mastic for those 50's and 60's era vinyl tiles often have small amounts of asbestos...definitely stuff that calls for respiratory protection at the least.Would love to hear about the numbers as well as the neighborhood.Nice renovation!
