What obstacles might I run into?

Hi all,I am a property manager in Houston and I have received an application from a family that have been transferred to the US and I am dealing with a relocation company.Since they just arrived and they don't have social security number, I can not verify their background.I wanted to see how do landlords in Canada screen applications?

Currently rented to students in one unit and a social assistance recipient in the other. 4/1 split.
