Rental application screening in Canada

Hi all,

I am a property manager in Houston and I have received an application from a family that have been transferred to the US and I am dealing with a relocation company.

Since they just arrived and they don't have social security number, I can not verify their background.

I wanted to see how do landlords in Canada screen applications?

Recently, Naborly has been a very common way to do so. Inexpensive, gives you high confidence that the tenant will be decent. Credit bureaus refer to them.
