I understand the HOA covers the exterior parts of the property but you are responsible for anything inside your unit such as windows, bath n kitchen plumbing issues, furnace, hot water heater, etc.

I’m getting some replies from contractors saying costs per sqft range from $200-$300... compared to what I leaned from other states, that’s a huge difference... so, I know costs for everything in the Bay Area are higher than any other place, but I’d like know if that’s accurate...Thanks

The property may come with contractors' liens if he did not pay them, with poorly done work that has to be redone, with code violations and who knows what else.
