Sometimes people freak out more than is necessary with galvanized.

Many people who sell say the reservations transfer but sometimes you don't want those bookings.

If you have any doubt about it being occupied or not you could put a notice at the door and say that its your property and that you will enter on a given date.You probably should provide a phone number so people may  call you. 

This is where having local experienced people to over see your rehabs a big value.Best of luck.
