It can be stressful on a marriage if you're not on the same page.Tip...I got a flexible part time job as a substitute teacher...So, if I wasn't working on an extensive rehab, I worked at the school...In the beginning, I painted, cut grass and purchased all material to save $$$...If it's your Desire to do RE and you're 100% committed,  your husband will probably honor that...GL

A few definitions to know in this domain of land development:Raw or unfinished lot cost = raw land prices divided by number of lots derived from land planning actions Finish lot cost = the cost of the land, development impact fees related to land, and common infrastructure (i.e. streets, sidewalks, parks, schools, etc)Residual land value (RLV) = analysis of home prices less all cost to complete and what remains is what a builder can pay for land.

Ours are fairly specific.Also forgot to mention that I keep a pretty active eye on school board related stuff with regard to zoning - as well as demographics, population estimates, expected growth areas and new housing projections provided by the board - which is helpful sometimes when it comes to negotiating deals and evaluating them - especially since we're primarily looking to hold.
