I got a book on framing and watched some construction projects to learn that end of things but the drywall repair was pretty much trial and error and self-taught.

For the past year, I have been educating myself using books, forums, podcasts, networking etc.

I suggest connecting with a local real estate agent who knows Baltimore and works regularly with investors and retail buyers to help you get a better handle on your needs and then guide you in the right direction.Good luck, welcome to the Baltimore market, and welcome to Bigger Pockets!

You may be able to find some more creative ways of investing in Brandon’s book - investing with low or no money down- there were a few early podcasts that mentioned some pretty creativeUnfortunately I couldn’t find it.

I started my education with books and attending a local REIA meeting.

You can learn everything you need to know on BiggerPockets, and other free or cheap resources like books, online search, youtube, facebook groups, and local REIA groups. 

My first glimpse was from Rich Dad Poor Dad (of course) and since I read that book about 2 months ago I've just immersed myself in the Bigger Pockets world.
