@Dustin Avadar - I think $5-$6k is pretty good, I was going to build a garage with a rooftop and that is the quote I got.  

I wanted it to be secured by a 3 bedroom 2 bath 2 car attached garage in a nice neighborhood.I found out that that note did not exist.  

I am looking for loss if possible so I can write it off in taxes. infact I have a duplex in same area  with extra car garage and 400 more sqft and i have renter who is paying $1299 a month

They are for a nice 2,682 SF two story with 950 SF of finished walkout basement and 3 car garage. 

The fire started in the garage and damage from what I can tell is to the garage, attic, family room.
