The reason I posed the question is because I came across something on the web that suggested getting the POA personally was the best route because it gives you bargaining power with the lender because they have to work with you as if you were the seller and negotiate with you in good faith.

From an attorney who knows what can be done and what cant be done, those who represent themselves will find that they can not only help the attorney (if indeed he is the client) but will find a source of continuous business from an attorney that finds the need of your reputable services for their clients, who are often motivated sellers!!!!!!!!!!!!!
