My wife and I keep active chasing around our two boys (ages 2 & 4).   

But if you are not a big enough player to have a reputation for quality, is there a risk in making a house feel too new such that buyers get scared.  

You'd get a few quotes.Submit a loan application with a national bank like a BOA or Chase, then a local credit union and (my personal favorite) a loan originator.

Chase has some good questions there but let us take that one step further.  

Four hundred houses later, I have not had to qualify for another loan or go cap in hand begging any bank or lender for money to finance my deals, I make them chase me.So how did I do it?

It would not hurt to reach out one more time.If you don't get a response after that or if the response you get back is another brush off, move on.I don't believe in chasing people around.

@Sarah Becker look out, that is @Brandon Turner neck of the woods....he may chase you away from his tucked away gem ; )I did a preliminary analysis of the Aberdeen / Hoquim area about a year or two ago and decided I did not want to invest there mainly due to the fact that the economy is/was shrinking and it is too far off the I-5 corridor to attract any new substantial businesses.

Do you know enough about RE in general to form a plan for yourself or are you simply following the dream, following a crowd, or chasing a short cut to money?

(there are many places outside of NYC where I would look first, being a smaller player)...
