I mean the banks will make the loan that means they have no fear of value being lowered becasue of a mineral right not running with the land.And its SOOOOO hard to get rights to surface mining in MOST areas these days.. out west you need to be a mutli national company to afford the process.. 

Conversely, I always assume the ones that have numerous negative reviews with no response could care less. 

Some examples may be:Living in a 2-3 family while renting out the other unitsLiving in a single family and renting out bedroomsLiving in a home that you are planning to fix and rent/sell at a later point.These are only a few examples but there are numerous ways of house hacking.
