Introducing myself/ CPA Help

Howdy BP community!

I stumbled on BP about 5 months ago and have been soaking up as much information as possible. I still have yet to introduce myself so here it goes.

I'm an Aggie marooned in Austin, Texas. After finishing my engineering degree from Texas A&M University in 2015 I went straight into commercial real estate in Austin. I specialize in tenant representation for national credit retailers and restaurants, finding them NNN lease options in central Texas. The company I am with has been very generous to me, presenting me with very rare opportunities to invest in solid commercial deals.

I have greatly enjoyed the commercial side of real estate and learned a ton over the past two years. I plan to continue my work in commercial real estate, but because I am 100% commission based I need to develop a diversified retirement plan.

I am young, single, and perfect for a house hack. I'm seeking either a duplex or SFH in central Austin with 3+ beds. I understand that the Austin real estate market is a tough place to find a cash flowing rental, but I know a lot of other young singles who would be willing to lease from me.

I already have a good list of investor friendly agents but I’m always willing to network with others. What I really need to find is local CPA who understands real estate investing. Do any of you have good recommendations? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Best Regards,

Thomas
