And I would like to get commission on future deals between the 2 parties .What percentage is fair for me to ask gem the sellers side .What they want are distressed properties which they could buy that make sense to buy .If anyone here has a good sized amount of these types of properties maybe we can do business .But naturally I would like to know what is fair as far as my end .

That's the nature of the world.30 years ago you probably would have been pretty sure that Playboy magazine and landline telephones would be relevant in 30 years. 20 years ago, you probably would have been pretty sure that physical maps would be relevant in 20 years. 10 years ago, you probably would have been pretty sure that DVD technology would have been relevant in 10 years.Things can change quickly, and if you only want to pursue ideas that will be relevant for 20-30 years, you're likely going to be disappointed.

Yeah, I've noticed some properties need a bit of work, nothing major, and I think those are the ones that will most likely bite.I wondered because I see properties listing for say $100k, but one would naturally assume if you came to someone and said "I'll give you 63k cash", that they'd like balk at the idea. :)
