Seems that a huge slice of the economy is devoted to services/tourism. 

We should all be helping one another so that no one gets scammed or taken advantage.

It is true, you need to spend money and sometimes take risks but this isn't a risk, this is falling for a scam and being willing to take your partner with you because they think it will benefit them in the future.

The best current book on generic real estate investing (although he's also the largest owner of mobile home parks in the U.S. but only has three pages devoted to that) is "Am I Being Too Subtle" by Sam Zell.

I understand there is no such thing as something for nothing, so I'm willing to devote whatever time, energy, etc that is asked of me in order to accomplish my financial goals and make my dreams a reality!

The scam likely goes like this - they send you the cashiers check and you deposit it and it appears to clear.
