Inspector found an old , no longer in use, underground oil tank ( I already knew about it when I checked the house with my realtor), foundation issue ( I also knew that) and collar ties issue ( in the attic...

If I had to pick a decade I would say the 50's if you can get over the asbestos issues.The worst is the early 1900's because of foundations and balloon framing used at that time.The 80's just had poor construction unless you buy a builders constructed house.

The bank was just finishing up having the foundation fixed and they had her listed for $144k.
