With the COVID-19 pandemic, the lack of face to face interactions and meeting of real estate groups has made it difficult to find those initial connections.

I'm trying to gauge any interest in a monthly Alaska Bigger Pockets meet-up social event in the greater Anchorage area or if there is one already I don't know about.  

Luckily I reached out friends/family and made posts on social media which led to me being able to have one side rented at the time of close.I felt that this was not the best way to go about it and was wondering what other methods people in similar situations have used..I tried asking  permission from current owner to advertise "for rent" on Zillow but did not ever receive a response..

Social media marketing, direct mail, website marketing, social videos (FB, YouTube, IG, etc.).  

I received a notification this week that Zillow is migrating all of their Zillow Data API accounts over to their Bridge Interactive Data API starting September 2020.   

I hope to learn from others in the area.We just refinanced our primary home with the goal of moving in one year and renting this property out as a long term hold (it will cashflow currently and the area has strong appreciation potential).We hope to eventually build out a rental portfolio with mostly multifamily homes (around 3-4 doors).I hope to continue to learn from this great community and am excited to finally get the ball rolling by posting here and interacting more.
