A builder will need about $130 to $140 a foot to build you something with all tile floors, custom cabinets, granite counters etcyes tear down that old stuff, the benefit about tearing down, is the out come and more certainty of cost.

Hi,So my friend is building a ~600 sq foot ADU (Accessory Dwelling Unit) in their backyard to be rented out as a "private residence" (think of it like a 1 bedroom studio/apartment with its own living space/bedroom/bathroom.
