Obviously VERY important, because you don’t want a bank coming back to you in a few years and telling you that the account is past due and they are going to foreclose on the house because the loan hasn’t been paid.

With a home equity loan you can borrow against that difference, some banks allow up to total of 100% of homes value but typically best rates are 80% and below.

I’m going to sell this property soon as my HOA won’t allow me to transfer it over to an LLC.We want to purchase 5-15 doors (2-6 multi family homes) in the next twelve months and I currently have about $5000 saved and potentially have access to an additional $150k in family/friends money.
