IMO, this is one of those "you need to see a lawyer" answers.If by "taxes were sold" you mean tax lien, that is different than a tax sale.

I'm no lawyer either but I would think that a licensed real estate agent would be up on landlord/tenant law if they are working as a rental agent for a property owner.
