I'm not a CPA either so take that with a grain of salt, but I don't see an issue with this.I guess the only issue I would see if you have C or S Corp...if you have an LLC you should be fine.

I am still early in the learning stage, but I believe I am leaning toward buy and hold in the B- to C+ grade single family and small multi family area.I'd like to network and maybe find some local investors that are willing to share some knowledge.

I'm going through the final step in BRRRing my first duplex, so I'm getting close to the next one but want this all legally set up before then.So with that, I'm wondering what suggestions you may have as to which route to take, LLC, S corp, C corp, etc?

It is 70 units (C-class) and we have negotiated a purchase price of $1.8M, the property appraised for $2.05M back in 2009.

After some research one was owned by HUD and the other had the owners names listed and also another name under "C/O".
