If you didn't have kids, I'd say sell your condo now and move to a month-to-month rental, but you don't want to shake them up twice in 6-12 months.No knowing your logistics, I'd also recommend Glastonbury, Avon, and Simsbury.

There are other ways to invest in this market that I am exploring but I am also not opposed to investing in STR in out-of-state markets because of the potential for very high cash flow.

They have enough life experience to know how to change a lightbulb or flip a breaker.The issue I have is when parents want to cosign for their kids that are immature and irresponsible.

I see that the carpets cleaning is being ignored, there are many stains all over, the paint on the walls are starting to wear with kids marking and drawing several places. 

I now live in a normal house that still meets my needs and I freed up quite a lot of money by doing so like you are describing.But if this new house doesn't have a 2nd bathroom and you really need one due to your kids, you will hate that and be kicking yourself later. 

Biting the hand that feeds you is something we learn is dumb to do as kids and is true until the day we die. 

@Selina M Stone  Not knowing your finances, I'll just give you two general suggestions I've given my own adult kids when they were starting out

In my experience kids are more distructive than pets and nobody collects a kid fee.
