Seasoning Periods - Unlike 1-4 unit properties seasoning is not as cut or dry.

Always get a dry reading first from the same material in an area you know has no water damage first.

(and the trees they fell w their endless mailers etc :) I just used this for my extra reserves and opportunity fund (dry powder) so it's a cash account, not qualified or retirement funds.You can have IRAs linked to it, so if you already have those, it just takes a sec to establish a new cash account or vice versa. 

Though in reality there's been little, but the threat of it caused us to put off breaking ground on the new build we're doing until Spring, and we totally could have had it framed and dryed in.

I had to rent lifts and lots of rot to replace. 

Could be as ‘simple’ as rot/termite damage and rebuilding that wall.

There could be rot going on, insulation getting wet, mold forming in various places.
