I've seen lots of discussion about private lending partners, but I was hoping to receive some examples of arrangements investors have made with their private money partner.

The key will be determining that this is in fact your primary residence and working with a lender who's willing to work with you on this arrangement.

Note dealers are, IMO, pretty relaxed about discussing their notes and I've been guilty of it as well, but really if you hold a note you should have a LOI to discuss the note and any deal.A bank certainly wants something to show that there is at least a potential business arrangement over the subject note(s) as they are not going to discuss individual customer details with anyone off the street.

You would also be thinning out your pool of potential buyers because for some it's a less desirable arrangement.   

But definitely want to hear more about if you've heard of arrangements where banks can just call the principal due without any default by the borrower, that would be scary!
