Sounds like you are on the wrong web site.Invested properly, a good SF investment should yield about 15% cash on cash (or better), in a greatly tax-favored asset class.

They don't even post the price on the web site any more, it's gotten that high - if you look under their FAQ for "How much does it cost" they say "You only pay when you use it".

I’ve done a fair bit of web research, and am also part to most of the way through a couple books (both recommended by BiggerPockets).

I've seen this circulating the web and have noticed a consistent theme here....All the comments on BP, Facebook or instagram that I've read are from actual STR owners and they all say the same thing "I haven't experienced this at all"This was posted by Nick Gerli using some source called AllTheRooms which is not a reliable authority on STRs. 

Any information you have is appreciated, the world wide web only gives so much information.
