It is most likely a miscommunication between roommates or some lacking math skills.  

Sorry that I don't have a name for you, but wanted you to be aware of the lack of licensing requirement as I was surprised by it.

Nothing wrong with that so long as they don't keep you in the dark while they continue to leach off of you.Learn real estate first, then you can spot the bad apples and will know to stay clear of trouble, time lost, losing money and possibly fines or worse. :)    

The things you really want to watch out for is: flakiness, lying, lack of commitment.

I am very close to finishing this deal but lack that bit of knowledge right now on the final step.

Well DC is on this list and we have a huge lack of multifamily housing outside of apartment buildings.

If everyone gets a little bite at the apple, it keeps everyone happy.

A 4 plex hit the market and 11 days into it 2 of the tenants move out due to lack of  management.

[Soapbox moment: I wish all landlords were required to do this so the bad apples don't poison the well.]In my pre-qualification questions, I ask if they've ever been evicted and/or have a financial judgment from a prior landlord so I don't waste time on them.
