What I do is when I first get a move out notice, I advertise the unit through our property managment software, Buildium on zillow, apartments.com and also on craigslist and FB marketplace.

It is a reasonable thinking, but your software is not cooperating.The reason for your software to behave this way is that it considers the vehicle an asset belonging to the business as a whole, a "general overhead" type of expense.

I'm wondering what systems, software, apps, you all use to keep records for your properties.

I believe even some of the free software will do this for you.
