A better strategy would be to get your finances in order, get a job that pays well enough to save, and when you have saved some and have built your credit, look into real estate.

Ultimately you have to choose which your going for.

Bad credit, no savings, a low-paying W-2 job, etc.

I have about 25K saved up and make about 60K a year.

I plan to do it myself which would save some labor cost.
