I do electrical work and carpentry as more of a hobby at this point but in the past it was more of a side job. 

My big goal is to quit my job as a professor so I can devote time to getting my kids to where they need to be and so I can work on my hobby farm of breeding endangered heritage breed chickens...I've been at this dream for 4 years and 15 units are not going to be enough it seems...My freedom number is 50 units if I go the residential multiunit route.

@Andrew Mugo, I most recently read UMH Properties - they do mobile home parks, Condor Hospitality - limited service hotels, and Preferred Apartment Communities (APTS), my personal favorite multifamily REIT.  

I see money as a middle man: People want money, because it gives them something they really want: security, power, not having to work so much, being able to spend time on your hobbies, freedom from struggling with bills, feeding their ego.Whatever it is, money is just the tool to get what they really want.
