Hi Everyone, I had a section-8 inspection recently and I was told that there are several windows with chipped paint and it needs to scraped and repainted to pass the inspection.

Go to the property mid day (when the sun is at its apex) to get as much indirect soft light as possible avoiding shadows and harsh lightTurn on all lights (including stove top and closet lights) and open up all blinds/window treatments (replace burnt out bulbs, if necessary)Close the toilet lids and open up the shower doors/curtain to show the shower devicesCoil up any cablings (television, internet, phone, etc.) into a neat compact circleOpen up all the doors to show the inside of nooks and crannies and share the size of the closetsInvest in a gimble so you eliminate the rocky video.

A property may have contracted services for Laundry, pest control, trash hauling,landscaping, snow removal, elevator servicing, cleaning services, window washing, securityservices, parking lot sweeping, etc.

Therefore, if you purchase a performing note because of solid payment histories, that could all be thrown out the window relatively quickly.

Remodeled the kitchen, bathrooms, flooring, replaced roof, new paint in and outside, new HVAC, new windows, etc.

It was is a long term hold and I intended to remodel the kitchen and two bathrooms prior to renting it out however given the COVID-19 concerns I’m considering renting it out as-is to students that may have lost their on campus housing.

@Marisa Alvarez You don't need a lifetime warranty on windows.

It would be up to the health department to inform others and they are very careful to not identify a person.I there are shared services such as HVAC that goes through more than one unit, you should contact the health department on what to do, like maybe a window unit for one unit so there is not a transfer of germs. 

My hope was to purchase, fix roof, windows and the 3/1.5.
